There Is an App for That!

ASA's textbooks can now be read on an Apple iPad.

Acknowledging that pilots, of all people, are mobile creatures, at least two major catalog companies announced new applications for pilots that can be used on the iPhone, iPad or even the Kindle during Sun 'n Fun 2010.

Sporty's Pilot Shop announced an App that allows pilots to view its training videos on their iPhones, iPod Touch or iPad devices. The app, an add-on to video training courses, is available online and from the iTunes store. The company also introduced an E-6B app with 23 functions, also available at iTunes or Sportys.com.

ASA has also introduced an iPad app that allows people to read several of their most popular training textbooks with either an iPad or an Amazon Kindle. You can download the books from Amazon.com.
