The Zenith Aircraft Company Fly into Summer Builder Fly-In Gathering is scheduled for Saturday, June 25, 2011, at the Zenith factory in Mexico, Missouri, at the Mexico Memorial Airport (KMYJ). The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Attendance is not limited to Zenith Aircraft builders and owners; it is open to all aviation enthusiasts to drive or fly in for the day. Zenith kit and Light Sport Aircraft models will be on display, including the high-wing STOL CH 750 and the new ZODIAC CH 650 with a ULPower engine installation. On the two days leading up to the fly-in, Zenith will host one of its factory workshops, where participants gain hands-on aircraft building experience (prior registration is required).
Later this summer, Zenith will host its annual Open Hangar Day and Fly-In. The 20th annual event is scheduled for Saturday, September 17, 2011, at the Zenith factory. Aviation enthusiasts, especially builders and owners of Zenith Aircraft kits, are invited. Starting Friday, a number of educational workshops and seminars are scheduled, including engine installation and maintenance sessions as well as seminars on inspecting and preflighting your aircraft. The Zenith kit production facilities will be open for factory tours on Saturday. Event pre-registration is recommended.
Zenith Aircraft Company also hosts monthly hands-on introductory workshops on building an all-metal Zenith Aircraft kit plane. The workshops are coordinated by staff and held in the factory. Previous experience, skills or tools are not necessary.
