Whether you are flying or driving to AirVenture this year, Sportys has made your planning easier than ever before with a free app for the event. The official EAA AirVenture 2011 Fly-In App is available for both Apple devices (iPhones, iPads, iPod Touch) and Android devices (phones and tablets), and includes maps, guides to schedules and even late-breaking news.The AirVenture app can help you avoid long lines as it can be used to buy advance tickets and get up-to-the-minute announcements via the live news and Twitter feeds. Helpful information includes the complete AirVenture NOTAM for arrival and departure procedures as well as VFR route planning, aerial images and much more.

Once you’re at the show, the Sporty’s AirVenture app has maps of the entire grounds, including individual hangar and display areas for precisely locating exhibits. The master list of forums and presentations allows you to organize events into a favorites list to plan your visit. The daily schedule is also available with this app, including the schedule of forums, workshops, the air shows and evening programs.
