Jim Baldwin and His '89 RV-6

Meet Jim Baldwin, owner of the oldest RV-6 on the field at AirVenture. Having completed it in June of 1989, Jim has flown it for 1700 hours without any changes. Jim hails from Columbus, Ohio and is member of EAA chapter 443, once a hotbed of RV building activity. Back in the mid 80's the Chapter would take a block of 60 rooms.

Now the numbers are down to 9. Jim is 86 and still going strong and has sparked the homebuilding in his son Mike who completed an RV-10. Jim's RV-6 has been to every Oshkosh flying since it was completed in 1989!
