Van’s Annual Banquet

Each year, the Van's RV faithful gather at the EAA Nature Pavilion on Tuesday evening of AirVenture to swap stories, meet the factory folks who normally sit at the other end of help line, and press the flesh with RV legends. This year was special with the EAA's official recognition of the RV-6's 30 year anniversary.

The -6 has been the world’s most successful and popular homebuilt kit. Leading RV evangelist, Paul Rosales from Lancaster, California, helped organize the special events for the week and spoke at the banquet about the amazing community of friends and the international adventures he and his wife have shared since completing their RV-6A.

Particularly inspiring at the event were dozens of teenage builders who are involved in RV-12 building projects through their high schools or other programs. The RV community sponsors at least four different RV-12 building programs for teens at more than a half-dozen sites around the country.
