The second day of SnF dawned bright, cool, and calm a great change from the flooding rains of Tuesday! We watched a steady flow of arriving aircraft by about 10:00 am, and while Homebuilt Parking is far from full, the fair skies clearly helped increase the numbers from the day before. As usual, there were interesting flybys and plenty of aircraft noise, including the USAF replacement for the Thunderbirds- an F-16 Viper that beat up the field for about twenty minutes, to the crowd's delight.
Kit manufactures, accessory vendors, and engine builders were all busy with customers looking for their next project or bits and pieces for what they are building now, and there lots of smiles replacing the frowns of the day before.
The forecast remains good, so if you were planning on doing some fact finding, shopping, or just mingling with other aviators, you've got plenty of time to head to Lakeland and join in the fun.
