Some people just cant leave a good kit airplane well enough alone. This Zenith 701 is parked in Homebuilt Camping and has more than a few custom modifications.
The control stick is all wood, a beautiful burl that a crafty Scotsman might have used as a driver in his bag of golf clubs. The panel is retro wood with beautiful round gauges - until of course, you drop the solid panel in front of the pilot to find a modern EFIS.
