Zenith Aircraft Company's STOL CH 750 can now be purchased already assembled from Tenn-Air of Shelbyville, Tennessee. Pete Krotje, head of Jabiru USA, announced that Tennessee Aircraft Development , LLC has licensed the design rights from Zenair Ltd. to produce the two-seat, all-metal, high-wing CH 750 as a factory-assembled Light Sport Aircraft. The assembled airplane, powered by 120-hp, six-cylinder Jabiru 3300 engine, is being offered at an introductory price of $74,900. Zenith Aircraft Company will celebrate its 20th anniversary at an Open Hangar Day and Builder Fly-In gathering on Friday and Saturday, September 21 and 22, in Mexico, Missouri. Rod Hightower, president and CEO of EAA, will be the special guest at a banquet on Friday.
Many seminars and workshops on various topics will be held over the two-day event. Last year's seminars covered subjects such as aircraft weight and balance, avionics (both Dynon and Garmin), engines (Jabiru, UL Power, Corvair, Viking) and EAA. Again this year, aviation suppliers (of particular interest to Zenith kit plane builders) will display products, and Zenith will hold hands-on workshops on kit aircraft assembly and maintenance.
Seminars will begin on Friday afternoon at the Mexico Airport. Several hundred participants are expected, mainly existing and new Zenith Aircraft builders and owners, along with those who may be interested in building a Zenith design. There is no cost to attend.

Job creation is closely tied to export growth, Missouri Governor Jay Nixon said this week during a visit to kit plane manufacturer Zenith Aircraft Company, which has more than 30 percent of its sales in exports.
Zenith is one example of how Missouri's exports continue to grow, the Governor said. International exports in Missouri are up by 13 percent, or an additional $1 billion, through the first two quarters of 2011, after increasing an impressive 35 percent during 2010. To continue the success of export growth and job creation in Missouri, Governor Nixon urged the legislature to pass a Made in Missouri jobs package during the upcoming special session of the General Assembly, which will begin September 6. The Zenith Aircraft Company Fly into Summer Builder Fly-In Gathering is scheduled for Saturday, June 25, 2011, at the Zenith factory in Mexico, Missouri, at the Mexico Memorial Airport (KMYJ). The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Attendance is not limited to Zenith Aircraft builders and owners; it is open to all aviation enthusiasts to drive or fly in for the day. Zenith kit and Light Sport Aircraft models will be on display, including the high-wing STOL CH 750 and the new ZODIAC CH 650 with a ULPower engine installation. On the two days leading up to the fly-in, Zenith will host one of its factory workshops, where participants gain hands-on aircraft building experience (prior registration is required).
Later this summer, Zenith will host its annual Open Hangar Day and Fly-In. The 20th annual event is scheduled for Saturday, September 17, 2011, at the Zenith factory. Aviation enthusiasts, especially builders and owners of Zenith Aircraft kits, are invited. Starting Friday, a number of educational workshops and seminars are scheduled, including engine installation and maintenance sessions as well as seminars on inspecting and preflighting your aircraft. The Zenith kit production facilities will be open for factory tours on Saturday. Event pre-registration is recommended.
Zenith Aircraft Company also hosts monthly hands-on introductory workshops on building an all-metal Zenith Aircraft kit plane. The workshops are coordinated by staff and held in the factory. Previous experience, skills or tools are not necessary.
