After on-and-off construction started in November, 1991, N144DV took to the air on July 4, 2016. (Yes, that's 25 years into a 3-year project!)

Sure, you all know what this is... right? At first glance, it looks like an RV-4--but what's with the retractable landing gear? All that means is that the spirit of experimenting is alive and well, for yes, it is a retractable RV! Word is that this one might be for sale.

Tony Tomasulo's Rv-4 after 12 1/2 years of building. It's powered by an O-360-A1A new Lycoming with roller lifters with a fixed pitch Sensenich prop, equipped with Dynon EMS and Dynon EFIS and a Garmin 196 running the auto pilot with altitude hold, Garmin SL40 com. radio, and GTX -327 transponder. Vortex generators bring the stall in landing configuration down to 41 kt and no flaps 46 kt. The paint job was done by Lancaster Aero.
