Free Welding Kit with Purchase of Plasma Cutting System

Customers who purchase a Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster True Series manual plasma cutting system between October 1 and December 31, 2012, can receive a free Thermal Arc 95 S stick welding kit, valued at $341. The offer applies to CUTMASTER 52, 82, 102 and 152 models. Redemption forms and instructions may be obtained on the Thermal Dynamic’s web site ( or at participating distributors.

Thermal Dynamics designed the CUTMASTER TRUE Series with the idea that the recommended cut capacity should also be the true cut capacity. A recommended cut will have a smooth cut face with little or no dross, requiring little or no rework or grinding. The Cutmaster True Series ranges in price from $2,397 to $4,736.

The Thermal Arc 95 S welder weighs 9.7 pounds, measures about the size of a lunchbox and uses 115V household power to provide 90 amps of stick-welding output at 20% duty cycle. The 95 S can weld with 6011, 6013, 6014 and 7018 electrodes up to 3/32-inch diameter.

New Multiprocess Welding System

Victor Technologies has introduced the Fabricator 211i, a fully integrated MIG-Stick-TIG inverter welding system. The Fabricator 211i weighs 57.3 pounds and offers the flexibility of using either 115 or 208/230 VAC single-phase primary power, 50 or 60 Hz. It delivers a welding range of 5 to 150 amps on 115 VAC and 5 to 210 amps on 230 VAC.

The 211i responds to changing weld conditions within 13 microseconds, which is 16 times faster than competitive Stick/TIG inverters and 640 times faster than conventional MIG welders, the company says. The Fabricator 211i features power factor correction (PFC). It draws 22% less primary current than competitive MIG welders, is less likely to trip circuit breakers, can provide full rated output on a 30-amp/230V circuit and reduces utility bills because of its efficiency, according to Victor Technologies.

The Fabricator 211i package has an MSRP $1399; it includes a Tweco MIG gun, stick electrode holder and work clamp, and a Victor regulator.
