What started as an informal gathering of like minds has turned into one of the largest marque fly-ins, offering formal training and seminars, contests, and fun flying for owners and builders of Zenith aircraft.
On Friday, September 18, those who fly (KMYJ) or drive in to the Zenith factory (1881 Airport Rd, Mexico, Missouri 65265) will be welcomed to engine and avionics workshops and seminars, the ever-popular STOL competition (sponsored by Kitplanes Magazine) – and the Zenith banquet, featuring some special guests and door prizes. Now there's an even faster way to build a CH 750 Cruzer. In just two weeks, participants in Zenair's Two-Week Wonder program will complete their aircraft at the Zenair factory in Midland, Ontario, Canada. During the two-weeks, participants will:
- Finish a partially completed airframe kit.
- Install a factory-new Continental 0-200 engine with accessories and propeller.
- Complete the instrument panel using pre-wired electrical systems.
- Fit the wings and tail sections to the fuselage.
- Install the controls and fuel system.

After almost 10 years in the aircraft float business, Full-Lotus Floats has sold the design rights, inventory and production tooling for its float line to Aircraft Floats Manufacturing, Inc.
AFM will continue producing the standard line of Full-Lotus floats; it already has a large inventory and has started deliveries of floats as well as replacement parts for maintenance and repairs to existing owners. The company will soon start introducing type-specific rigging instructions for a variety of popular aircraft designs, something not previously offered by Full-Lotus.
AFM’s new production facilities are located on the Huronia Airport (CYEE) in Midland, Ontario, next to Zenair Limited, a kit aircraft manufacturer. AFM says it is also negotiating with Zenair to distribute the kit maker’s high-performance aluminum floats.

Aviation enthusiasts, especially fans of Chris Heintz designs, are invited to the Zenair Open Hangar Day and Builder Gathering scheduled for Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Huronia Airport in Midland, Ontario, Canada.
Visitors are invited to fly or drive in to the Zenair factory, which designer Chris Heintz founded in 1974. Zenair Ltd. manufactures all-metal light aircraft and kits, as well as a full line of straight and amphibious floats for light aircraft.
This informal grassroots fly-in gathering is open to all builders, fliers and aviation enthusiasts, and owners of Chris Heintz designs are encouraged to fly-in for the activities and to show off their completed projects to fellow builders and pilots. John Smith, Huronia Airport's manager, is currently building his own STOL CH 750 light sport utility kit plane, the most recent Chris Heintz design.
In the hot morning sun of Friday, April 1, Zenith Aircraft's Sebastien Heintz surveyed the area around what was supposed to be his display tent at Sun 'n Fun 2011. It was not pretty. The violent storms that swept through Lakeland Linder Airport on March 31st at around noon had decimated his display area and lifted two out of three of the aircraft tied down there off their tiedowns.

Participants in Zenith factory workshops have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in building a Zenith kit aircraft. For a relatively low cost, they can start assembling parts of the kit under the guidance of factory professionals, and upon graduation have a rudder tail section for a STOL CH 750 or Zodiac CH 650 to show for the effort.
